Joyce Shannon makes highly unique, labor intensive
coiled
baskets with cane and raffia. Designs with this
level of realism have never been
seen in a coiled basket
format before. The designs are sewn into the baskets
with
dyed raffia during construction, not painted on
afterwards as is sometimes the
assumption. Current
